Weaving

Through the patient act of weaving, I explore nostalgia for the vast waters, glaciers and rural remnants of the Northwest landscape. This weaving has been carefully made from Japanese cotton fibers and local hand-dyed wool and silk from Neighborhood Fiber Company located in Baltimore. Hand-dyed silk for the background glistens with a light blush contrasting with the bottom half in charcoal black Japanese cotton. Silk and metallic thread shimmers from out of the soft cerulean wool in the center.
It hangs on a 12" brass rod with gold thread and is 17" long.
Weaving will be steamed prior to shipping and shipped within 3-5 days. Shipping within the U.S. is included and reflected in the total price of the weaving. To see more works in progress on IG, please follow me @whimwits
